Leaf angle and leaf area index together influence canopy light interception photosynthesis. However, so far, there is no effective method to identify the optimal combination of these two parameters for In this study, first a robust high-throughput accurate segmentation maize organs based on 3D point clouds data was developed, then segmented plant were used generate new altered architectures. With this, we simulated synergistic effect The results show that, compared traditional describing photosynthesis including index, facet coverage, parameter – occupation volume (COV) can better explain variations photosynthetic capacity.
